Classic yacht CV template

The industry standard — navy sidebar, conservative layout.

Suits: Deck and bridge crew, and anyone applying through an agency.

Why it works on a boat

  • Navy sidebar carries the photo and the personal block, so visas, availability and ENG1 status sit where a captain looks first.
  • Body is a single column, which is what agencies re-key into their own letterhead and what mono printers on board reproduce cleanly.
  • Certificates list runs highest-first with expiry dates in a fixed column, easy to scan for a Yachtmaster or a PB2.

What to watch

The sidebar is a dark block. It prints as grey on a mono printer, which is fine, but keep the photo well lit so it does not sink into it.
