Who we are
superyachtcvs.com("we") provides an online CV-building service for yacht crew. For any privacy question or request, open a support ticket from your account — every request is handled in the app.
What we collect
Your account details (name, email), the CV files you upload, and the CV content you create — which may include personal details such as date of birth, nationality, visa status, health summary, smoker/tattoo status, photo, and referee contact details. We collect this solely so you can build and download your CV.
How we process it
Uploaded CVs are processed by an AI service (Anthropic Claude) to extract and rewrite your CV content. If you use the AI headshot feature, the photo you choose is processed by Google (Gemini) to produce the enhanced version. Payment is processed by Stripe — we never see your card details. Data is stored with Supabase in the EU (Ireland). We do not sell your data or use it for advertising, and we do not use your CV content to train AI models unless you explicitly opt in on your Account page — and even then our team only reviews your CVs to distil general writing rules; your personal details are never kept in that process, and you can opt out again at any time.
How long we keep it
If you build a CV without creating an account, that session is deleted automatically 30 days after you last touch it — we have no way to contact you, so we don't keep it. Creating an account keeps your CV for as long as the account exists. Your CVs and the original files you uploaded are kept while your account exists so you can keep editing and comparing. Deleting a CV also deletes its uploaded original; uploads that never became a CV are purged automatically after 30 days. Each CV keeps a short version history (the most recent 30 snapshots). Deleting your account permanently removes your CVs, files, photos, documents and support conversations.
Your rights
You can access and edit all of your data in the app at any time. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — including uploaded files and photos — from your Account page. You may also request a copy or deletion of your data through a support ticket. We keep your data only while your account exists.

We use only essential cookies needed to keep you logged in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
